72 plymouth valiant turbo LS swap

had a 72 Dart just like that years ago, but with a 318... had a few slant 6's along the way, and personally regard them as the best durability engines made....
 
Congrats on the mopar. Slant 6's came in everything they sold. As for the carb, the 1920 is a junk carb. My dad had a few on his 60 Plymouth years ago, the much better option is the carter 1bbl on it now. It should be a direct swap for you if you can find one.

I wouldn't be so quick to dismiss the old slant 6 as a powerhouse. There was an altered wheelbase 65 polara with a stock internal slant 6 in it at cruising ocean city md last year with homebuilt megasquirt efi and turbo setup making 500hp.
He was talking about doing some upgrades to the bottom end and upgrading to a bigger turbo.
