I may have asked a similar question awhile back but needing some more info. Would a frame from a 1978 cutlass work under my 1985 oldsmobile 442? What is a different if it is? Looking at a completed frame and toying with doing a frame off on my high school car. Any info is much appreciated.
Thanks kris

I think the main difference is that there is a frame extension for the transmission on the later models. You should be able to add that part on. I have seen a bolt on extension that allows later trannys to be added to earlier frames.

The one thing I would watch out for is not to mix frames from say.... sedan to a coupe, or a fastback to a notch back. Use like for like.
