Looking good

From the summer rain and moisture, even garaged it’s been a constant battle for corrosion and rust on aluminum and chrome. I’ve gotten ahead of it but there are a few parts that just needed those fine details worked out. So... I found my drill and wire bit along with some ScotchBrite pads and went to work!

Ran out of time today but will polish a little more then get the other side done. The ones nearest to the firewall are a b*tch to get to!

I am finally getting around to posting some info on my build!
I entered an original post March 2017 and I’ll start this by including my original text and then I will be adding as time permits:
Hi All!
Got this 1978 Pontiac Grand Prix from my Dad. It has about 23000 miles on it. He was the second owner and restored it to "like new" original condition (it sat under a tree, uncovered, for quite awhile!) I have always been fond of the g body cars and I was floored when dad gave it to me! I drove it for a couple seasons and enjoyed it but I really missed the potential muscle car hidden beneath this hood. In the shop it went and should be done here shortly, I'll update as I have time. Can't wait for spring!
Out: stock 301, 3 speed transmission, column shift, springs, shocks, wheels, tires, rear end, upper and lowers, sway bars
In: 400 stroker 650 hp, 4 speed 200-r4, floor shift, 30 spline Detroit Locker and a bunch of other stuff!
Will upload pics soon

what's the size of the tires and rims? I'm working on mine and still 14" rims.

The newest tire and rim combo: fronts-Nitto 245/45r17 on 9 inch wide wheels 5inch backspace. Rears are Nitto drag radials 315/35 r17 on 10.5 inch wide wheels 5 3/4 inch back spacing. The back wheels were a one off custom made to fit. The fronts were Year One wheels. It is much easier to find 275/40 r17 for the back on 9 inch wide rims.
