1982-92 I believe.

Just be carefull, there is a 9 bolt Austrailian? rear that won't work.

Just remember you can only use the gears; not the axle housing. It won't come anywhere near fitting in your car.

You can also get gears from the 80's S10/S15 (Chevy/GMC) mini pickups. Lots of times that is the place just to get gears, as they regularly have 3.73 and even 4.10 gears in the rear of many of them.

Also, the 70's H body cars (Chevy Monza, Buick Skyhawk, Pontiac Sunbird, and Olds Starfire) rear wheel drive have those gears too.

You can live a while in a 7.5 with low gears (3.73 or 4.10), new custom axle shafts and some sort of posi unit. In the end, you will still break it to pieces if you get any traction on the launch.

But hey, it will be great fun right up until the gears spray all over the road!!

Good luck, man.

Also, as camaro and firebirds go, you can use most rear gears from 1982-2002, so that may open up your options.

Many of us that own the 82-92 firebirds try to get the positraction differentials and gears from the 95-2002 camaro and firebirds because they have a nice zexel-torson posi (it looks like a meat grinder with lots of "worm" type gears inside) and they usually run 3.42 or 3.73 rear gear ratios.
