I have a friend looking to sell his 79 buick regal. It has a 350 in it it's clean straight body. It has a spot of rust on it. it's been sitting for a while but it's been covered. It's runs have yet to see it drive. I'm really into the car but I have no idea what it's worth now. I remember growing up granted I'm 28 but I had a few g-body's and I bought them for 500-900 and they were stock and ran everyday driver. Just looking to get some feed back. Thanks and by the way I live in NY were everyone thinks they have a piece of gold.

500-3000 depends on, how nice it is, how many miles on it, and how bad you want it! Need more info and pictures to tell.

I would check the rear frame and floor boards over real good. Newer paint can be devising as to what is under neath the paint. Car does not look like it has moved in many years. What are they asking for it? Has the engine bean rebuilt? If the engine has been rebuilt and runs good and every thing else checks out I would say 2000 or less. Like 1000 to 1500 would a good deal. Hope someone else chimes in here. Just my opinion!

is the engine a SBC or Buick ? what transmission ? rear end , what gears ? posi ?

it looks good but ??? pull it out of that junk pile and give it the once over...twice.

Not typically a fan of Regals, but that one looks pretty good.

Looks like a pretty nice interior, that's a big +

I would be very concerned about how long it's been sitting over dirt, this is VERY hard on the lower sheetmetal, especially floors.

For the guys that will say $500....would you take that for it if it was yours?

IF it will run, and the floors aren't gone, I would say ~$1500 on the bottom end, up to whatever you think it's worth to YOU.

Have you guys seen what $1500 buys these days? It ain't much.

He said it has 1000 miles on motor. But yes hasn't moved in years. I offered him 2000 and he thinks it's worth more he wants as much as he can get for it . I don't blame him and I know the guy but to me if it runs good and everything else I'd go as high as 3000
