8.5 GN Rear build

will this part fit a grand national 8.5 rear? i keep reading forums where guys find carriers that allow 30 spline axles. is this one of them?
some one help! im trying to find a center section that is not the clutch style posi. and allows 30 spline axles. Part numbers would be great. thx

That center section listed should work just fine. I know you dont want a clutch type setup but I know alot of guys going in the 9's on a eaton setup with no issues at all. No one makes a posi for 33 spline axles for the 8.5 so your limited to 30 spline axles. Thats my delema I have 33's and thinking of going to 30's.

Ok well i will keep that in mind. i appreciate it. as long as i can run at least 30 spline axles, ill be happy. if u were gonna build a 8.5 n plan on drag racing it quiet a bit n put alot of load in tht dif but also street drive it, how would u build it?

Well I would run a eaton 30 spline posi. Moser axles. The cclip elims are a must for the times your talking with a 1.4's 60 ft. Which is deff 10.99 and better. Keep in mind they tend to leak and once installed there is no going back because the rear housing axle tubes get cut where axles bearing would be. You can take the chance without but is wrecking the car when the axle lets loose worth it
