any body know if an 8.5 from a buick roadmaster will work in a gbody it is 55" from hub to hub

I'm guessing you mean roadmaster.
Not a direct bolt in.

As is NO.............Turn your head and try to find one from a G-Body..........That being said, You can make anything work, Just depends how much you want to do with it.....
