i am wondering if anyone is interested in fiberglass rear bumpers for these cars? as far as i know no one makes these. so i made my own mold and just made my first bumper . ill hopefully be making a few more of these to possibly sell to recoup my costs. just seeing if anyone is interested in these. i also plan on making front bumpers eventually too. i was thinking of making the rear bumper support that goes behind the bumper too and bond them together, so its a bolt on deal. i also plan on trying to make a mold for the whole rear bumper assy with the plastic and bumperettes. time will tell i guess.

thanks,
Rob

I can say best of luck to you. I'm sure you'll find some buyers. GPs are a rare breed indeed. Recently another poster on the forum looked up the number of 81 to 87 GPs registered in the US and there's a total of less than 12K.

I tell you what you might could do...

See if you can make a mold for a 2 + 2 nose. There's only one company that sells fiberglass replacements and they are located on the west coast. If you happen to live on the east coast, you'd have little competition!

i will post pics when i get it done. just finally got my rear bumper mould figured out and it turned out awesome as far as im concerned. making the bumper brace mould now then probably the entire rear bumper assy next. gotta get my car out of storage so i can make sure it fits right first. kind of a slow process

Yea i probally would be looking to lighten car as much as possiable without loosing the stock interior and exterior look , sleeper or just possiably painting the bumpers havent decided yet on the paint design im going with yet. Just shoot me a price when you can and post some pics . Thanks

I know there are a few body kits out for these cars, but I'm interested to see how yours turns out. I don't want to change my cars style too much but may be interested as well

This Is An Awesome Idea... I've Thought About Doing The Same Thing A While Back, But Didn't Know How To Go About It... But Personally, If I Do The Rear Bumper, I'd Definitely Want To Do The Front As Well... Also, If This Turns Out Good For You, Maybe You Should Give Some Thought To Reproducing Complete Dash Boards Like This For These Same Models... Nobody Makes Aftermarket, Original Dashboards For These Cars And Excellent Condition, Used Ones Are Very Difficult To Come By...
That'll Be A Great Thing!...
I'd Like To See Pictures Of Your Work Whenever Possible...
