Glad to hear the mods are making using your 200r4 more usable.
I'm intrigued by your mention of the TC delay timer tho, and the fact that it's adjustable is just icing on the cake.
Can you share any more details on it, i.e. The manufacturer, where you got it, and how its adjusted etc?
It sounds like just the ticket to delay the lockup on my 200r4 as I'm using the TCI vacuum kit as well.
Thanks in advance!

This is what I bought.

The instructions are poor but what I did is take fused 12V to the TCI vac switch to the delay timer to the brake switch to the trans lockup and grounded to the switch in the 4th gear valve body. The vac source is ported so it has no vac at 0% throttle so the TC decouples under deceleration and braking.

The switch needs a 12V in to the VCC port and ground to the ground port. Jump S5 port, rearrange the pins to get the time you want and adjust the trim pot. Adjustable from .13s to 3700s. Like $10.

Very interesting!
Thanks for responding and posting that up for everybody. I'll have to look into it a little closer for my application. I'm sure others will find this useful as well.

Hmm, it looks a little lower in the front. Somethings up, or in reality, down.

Needs a radiator, rad hoses, S-plug wires and its ready to fire!
Hi there. Im rebuilding a similar engine as yours 79 231 v6 buick turbo. I was wondering if youve had issues since you dont have an electronic spark control on it. Its a box that was on top of the fan shroud that adjusted the timing on the engine when boosting. Great thread btw.

I had to run an MSD BTM and NA v6 distributor to overcome the not having the knock box. Instead of being reactive it's proactive which is better anyways. No issues doing it that way. The old ESC (electronic spark control) boxes were potted and not repairable, often ooze out over the years and don't work anyways often.

Thank you for that info. Do you happen to have information on that as well? I don't think i saw the set up in your pictures, but maybe i missed it.

Thanks again

Not a whole lot to mention. Its in the passenger pick panel where the ecm used to be. Hook it up to the instructions and set it to whatever degrees you want and it your good to go.

Thanks.. any recommendations as far as the degree?? Im not familiar on how it really works, is it focused on starting the car, the engine spark, or acceleration?? just trying to get informed. Sorry for all the questions.
