A few things to check:

-obvious: are there any leaks?

-Is the radiator clean? Make sure it's not full of bugs, dirt, etc.

-Check your water pump? Is there play in the shaft? Is the belt loose or worn?

-Make sure your timing is correct

ill try and get some pics of this toy up tomorrow along with a few of the engine not to impressed by the gold paint on everything sorta ugly IMO

Rad looks like it might be the original.

start the car up with the rad cap off and check for flow once the thermostat opens....if that's the original rad I'd put my money on that being the problem...oh and in case I'm wrong I'm broke... 8)

Even the stock H.D. radiator will have a very hard time keeping up with a 455. I ended up getting an aluminum one off ebay, and it brought my temp down almost 20*.

I'd also check your fan clutch. It could be worn and not letting the fan pull enough air.
