81 grille swap

anybody done a 79 to a 81 conversion.if so how and what was needed

You will need a complete header panel assembly with the grill, headlight bezels. Only part that will swap over would be the emblem.

ok cool lol im looking in junkyards now...i like the 81 elco grille way more then a 79

I also chose the '81 header panel (and grille) over the '79. I'm sure someone out there would trade an '81 header panel for a '79.
I like the '81 grille over the '79. Some guys prefer the '79 over the '81.
Good luck finding one in the junkyard. Here's before and after.

Wow. The 81 grille makes the 79 egg crate grille look really bad in comparison.
