So the ole lady's messin off with the girls tonight, I'm going to try and get the factory tubs out and some other things taken care of on the body... Moved my crawler outta the shop so I have lots of room to work

Pics to follow

You do do nice work! Looking good. I'll be watching the progress.

Soooo after movin the crawler and cleaning the shop and wrappin up the chassis and motor... And drinking a ton of pilsner... I cut the tubs out, horrible progress for the night but.... Any progress is good progress.

I'm hoping I can get out there tomorrow to make some templates up and do some finish grinding

No pics yet, i finish ground all around where the new tubs will be goin in... also peeled up a ton more of the original seam sealer.. cleaned it all out good

Probably going to blast the interior this week and get it all spotless before i start putting the new tubs in.

Very cool build, I see you have the same brand metal break as I  . Very nice work, I know what a pain in the *ss it is to have limited tools. The crawler??

thanks eh!.. ya just my previous project.. my first time working with dom tube so needless to say ill probably incorporate a sweet cage in this build..

the bedsides just clip on and the factory tail lights have a plug at the back of cab.. so i can roll it on the road without to much hassle

8) That is sweeeeeet! Very cool rig, awesome fab work.

oh thanks eh!... i prefer to be in the shop building, i started project pro-touring malibu almost immediately after the crawler rolled out.

Im going to try and get the templates finished up for my rear tubs and also cut out some of the other small questionable spots, as well as the spare tire well...... plans are to have the tubs finished up by this weekend.. as long as nothing gets in the way :friday:

I thought i would save a little time so i picked up a comp engineering tub set that was in stock today.... now heeing and hawing over there 8 point roll bar kit or to go ahead with the 10 point cage.. either or would save me a day or two in metal work. any input on either or?... note that its primarily just a summer night cruiser car, possible track day here or there.

Im a little OCD and i was tired of grinding sunday... so i fired up the old shifter kart lol

230lb 6'3 viking... and some seriously warmed up sticky compound tires.... i have some old harder compounds ill put on for next time i mess around.
