Tidied up the shop a bit and rolled the malibu out again, finish welded the tubs and spare delete panel in one tack a time.. Rear window deck area had a patch that was riveted in 20 or so years ago

Well, chassis is a roller at least!.... borrowed some 20's from a friend so i can shuffle around.. waiting for some bolts to come in and ill get the body swapped over.

i think im changing ideas a bit, cars going to be for cruising around on summer nights.. i think i may forget about the cage, not really wanting my prego gf to have to worry about getting in and out. i would still like to run the 5-points so i think ill bend up a B pillar bar and just weld in removable ends.. keep it neat

Bit of progress, installed a pan to countersink the cell.. Started on removable b-pillar bar.
Made a mount plate for shifter and tacked into a comfy spot.

Well mine as well post some pics now, ill take more when i do more tonight..

mounted handbrake, finished a few supports from trunk hinges to tubs.. and finish welded everything else left.. spent half a day cleaning up every spot where work was done to look purdy..

Decided to cut out fender lip for some more clearance.. cut and tacked it back together as i went.... can stuff a 14'' wide tire tucked now... weeee

seam sealed the whole underbody.. which was messy as hell, i dropped a huge blob in my beard and spent a half an hour with acetone getting it out ( didnt pass out tho!) win...

next day i cleaned up the rest of the underbody and scuffed up...then masked off for some underbody rubber rock guard..
