Hey guys

I recently purchased an 82 monte carlo with the 267v8 as my first project vehicle. I am currently looking at purchasing these rims for it and was wondering the following,

1: Do you think the size of the rim and offset would suit and fit the stock suspension and wheel liners?

2: what tire sizes would you guys recommend?

Thank you all.
Dave

I'm not sure what the ad means for -6 offset, but you need zero offset. Good 15x7 backspacing should be 3.5-4" from wheel lip to back of the hub.

I recommend a 235/60-15 as the best size for a 15x7 wheel.

The -6 is negative 6 offset. So I've put the rim sizes into a backspacing calculator and it turns out to be 3.76" backspacing. Which should be good I guess?

I'll be fitting the black rims to this white monte carlo

Would you recommend a 255/60 on the rear?

You could probably put a 255 tire on the 7" rim, but personally, I think you'd be better off by maxxing out at a 245 tire on a 7" rim. Also, check on availability of tires. Used to be that you could find wider 15" tires pretty much anywhere, but there aren't many tire manufacturers that are still making them. BFG and Cooper come to mind, and maybe Hercules, but I'm not sure of any others. Good luck.

Hey thank you. I'll go with the 235's on the front and 245's on the rear, cooper cobras available locally. They should look well when fitted. Now moving onto the engine swap, she will be getting a 350hp 350sbc soon can't wait!
Thanks again to all who replied.

7 on front with 235 15x8 “ on back with 255
Backspace is fine for 7” you’ll be looking for a 4” backspace for rear but most people can fit up to 4 1/2” b.s.
