I have 1983 el Camino bracket car that runs in the high 11s. I have adjustable coil overs in front and single adjustable in the back. The car is at stock ride height. Car hooks great. I want to install adjustable coil overs and shocks in the rear and lower the car a bit. I hate the current stance. I know I’ll need to dial in a new pinion angle with adjustable upper arms. Has anyone done this before? I want a mean looking stance but I don’t want to ruin my launches.

How does it launch @ the current ride height? As the body/frame gets lower, the trailing arm/s anchor points will be lower @ the body/chassis side vs the rear-end housing & will change the IC & have some impact on how the suspension reacts. Something to keep in mind.....

What does it 60' at now? Other than changing the ride height, I don't think you really need coil overs. A good double adjustable shock will do fine with a basic spring. I went 10.50's and 1.47 60' with Comp engineering 3 way shocks and Moroso trick springs. I cut the fronts to get the height I wanted and left the back alone.
