New member here from Pittsburgh. Have a 83 Hurst/Olds that i bought in 97 . Has 50000 orig miles and only thing not orig to car is radiator. In process of replacing T-top assembly, just got new parts from GbodyParts and they look awesome. car has been off the road and kept in climate control garage since 99. was going to do full resto because of small laquer check and even bought new stripe kit. Decided against that because friends and i decided that they are only orig once so why mess with something thats not too bad ...Right ? There is no rust anywhere else on the car even has the orig exhaust. So im putting it back together slowly but surely only to put it up for sale after im done. I dig the Gbodys and this forum looks awesome. Hell who knows after its back together I just may keep it, but probably be best to sell so someone else may enjoy it and have a blast doing so. Thanks for having me .

Hi welcome to GBF. I'm also from Pittsburgh. Do you ever attend the Starlite Car Cruise in Wexford?

Welcome from another Pgh. member!
My Camino suffers from the same maladies as most of the original 80's lacquer paints. Thanks to an article by Mike Phillips of AutoGeek, I've got it looking somewhat respectable for a "survivor": http://www.autogeekonline.net/forum...w-car-finish-antique-single-stage-paints.html

Gbarrie I got to get some photos together to post, as of price Im not really certain yet . Would like to get everything buttoned up first before I decide. Let u know when I do though.

Wow, quite a few Pittsburgh people! I'm originally from that area too but it is surprising that there are that many G-bodies left there, must all be either low mileage or from somewhere other than the rust belt. Nice to know that there are quite a few of them around and that there are great people keeping them on the road.

Hello and welcome. My 1984 Hurst Olds suffers from the same problems with the t-top roof as well. I have pictures in a album I will post. I have been looking into that roof replacement from gbodyparts.com as well. I think in am going to buy the kit with the seals and all the new top parts. Are you doing it yourself or having someone replace the roof? I haven't dabbled much in welding so I won't be doing it. Good luck hope to see pictures.
