MALIBU '83 Wagon Brake lines.

Hello,

Does anyone know where I can get rear brake lines (or front & rear) for my 1983 Malibu wagon in Canada? I've found some on Summit but it doesn't say that they fit wagons unless I am blind. Sorry, if there is a thread on this I couldn't find it.

Are you looking for the hard lines or the rubber ? As far as I know they would be the same as a 2 door. I have an 81 coupe and an 83 wagon. When I replaced all the lines in both Im pretty sure the part numbers were the same.

I found hard lines at Inline Tube in Michigan. Mine had issues right at the bend in the back where it goes through the frame crossmember.

I have sets from Inline and Classic Tube and I think theyre both pretty much the same.

Yes, steel. Don't order stainless - I could not hand flare the stainless lines I ordered for another project.

Double flaring stainless is next to impossible without hydraulic assistance. I've had extraordinarily good luck with a single flare, though.

FYI, for anyone needing to do some double flaring of 3/16" steel brake lines while on the car.......I found a great tool that just simply works.
This thing is way better than those crappy flaring tool sets you can borrow from the auto parts store.
