Check to see if the regulator for the window is loose in the door, and that the door shell inside hasn't split that happened on my firebird. Also if your window sweeps are gone your window will rattle everytime you close the door or hit a good bump. You mentioned feeling wind coming in make sure the plastic is good and solid behind the door panel it creates a wind and mosture barrier.

door pins and bushing kit! i have already been through this with more then 1 car. if the bushings are shot and the door sags then the latch pin is not going to line up and that is where the bang comes from when you shut the door, it also will lower your window so the seals do not match. you may need hinge adjustments on top of that but there is no point in adjusting with bad pins and bushings. it only cost like 15-20 bucks......
