84 cutlass supreme I'm putting a sbc 350 in. I got used frame mounts out of a 84 Monte Carlo ss, they aren't broke or busted they look pretty good. I can only get one of the clamshell mounts on the motor to line up with only ONE frame mount.. Either one it doesn't matter but I chose to do the passenger side first because the fuel pump is in the way and makes it harder to get the bolt in. I just wanted to do the hardest side first. The driver side clamshell is diagonal about 1.5 inches from the frame mount hole. I tried prying on the actual rubber inside the frame mount but it's not getting anywhere close enough. My next step is to slot the top two holes in the k member to make them adjustable, the bottom is already pre slotted.
Is there anything else I can do that maybe easier and more accurate? Help is much appreciated!! If you know exactly what to do please call me and tell me, I will be working on it in a few minutes and probably last all day and can't keep checking on here lol.
540-243-1655 call or text please and thank you

So the frame mounts are off an 84' Monte with a SBC and are you using the Monte SBC clamshell uppers? And if I am reading this right with one bolt in one side, the opposite side will have the clamshell hole 1.5" away from the frame mount hole?
Verify that the frame mounts are in the correct holes as shown and that your mounts look like those pictured.

Someone gave the clamshell mounts to me idk what they came off of, but the frame mounts came off a 84 ss Monte Carlo.
But I got it, had to ream the mount holes and make slots to where the frame mounts are adjustable. Works good. Had to pry the rubber inside the mount a little bit to line up the 2nd hole but we got it and it looks level and even. Now I hope I can make my headers fit lol.

It should not have been so much work, my guess is the height of the unknown origin clamshells are different than stock Monte SBC clamshells hopefully you have no issues with those.
