84 H/O rock/chip guard pictures???

Pretty sure the coatings are designed to spray on,let them cure per manufacturers directions and then base and clear.You don't have to use 3M...there are a lot of other brands out there.
 
3/4" to 1" below the body line for all VIN9 cars.
Factory was sloppy when they applied paint and stripes so cars will vary, the rock guard line can be wavy and fade.
No rock guard on rear fenders but some '84 H/O's had them, again, factory was sloppy...

Looked at my friends '83 H/O survivor and the rock guard was all over the place... on the passengers side it went up to the stripe, on the drivers it was about 1/4" below the stripe.
The fenders had a little over spray of the rock guard towards the top by the stripe but none on the bottom of the fenders.
It's a mess...
