Is there anything specific that you're looking to find out? Usually the Canadaian cars will have metric instrument clusters (speedo in km/hr, temp gauge in Celcius degrees, oil pressure in kilopascals etc). Some models will have different emission control systems between U.S. & Canadian cars, but I'm not sure if the Hurst Olds was in that category.

The VIN ends in "A"

I'm looking at a used one for sale, the owner says it was sold new at a canadian dealership but the speedometer is in miles, and kms are in smaller inset. Also says the odometer is in miles. Wondering if the this is the way they all came? I know only 200+ came to Canada in 84 but dont know how to identify.

That was a joke, son  say it out loud.... ....345632, A. eh.

That was good!!!! didnt catch it, now come on anyone know?
( meanwhile I emailed the owner asking for the last letter of the VIN, dont I look like a *ss )

GP403 FTW!

The 8th digit of the VIN will still be "9" like all other H/O's.
The definate tells of it being a legit Canadian H/O would be the:
A) Metric speedometer
B) A Canada specific door sticker (that says: "This vehicle conforms to all applicable Canada motor vehicle safety, bumper, and theft prevention standards in effect on the date of manufacture shown above").
C) The proper export RPO code on the label on the underside of the trunk lid.
