85 cutlas Salon Parts

Hi All,
When ordering online gbody parts, I often have a choice to pick my 85 cutlass Salon 442. More times than not, it will tell me the part does not fit. However if I change to 85 olds Cutlass, it would fit. Is there a difference? Was looking for t top weather stripping, and all other gbody models except the Salon are compatible. According to many sites.
Has anyone else run into this?

The guys who work the interchange list are idiots. Cutlass parts don't fit any Cutlass's in the world we live in. For '81-'87 there is only one coupe body so trim model won't affect the seals. Confusion started for '88 with RWD G's & FWD W's Supreme models being sold at Olds dealers. Then toss in the FWD A Ciera in '82 & FWD N Calais in '85 which adds to the nothing fits B.S.

81-88 Cutlass Calais (81-84 only), Cutlass Salon (85-87), which includes 442 (Salon based 85/86, Supreme based in 87), Cutlass Supreme, Cutlass Supreme Classic.

If it's a A/G47 body (2 door notchback), ALL the body seals will interchange. There will be minimal trim piece differences only.
