I agree, when the clutches wear out you get one wheel peel instead of both. You can try to change the gear oil and add the limited slip differential additive to it and see if that helps it. But you do have a limited slip in there, when working correctly you should get both tires to spin from a dead stop and one tire will spin when taking a corner which transfers the weight to one side.
I'm not sure if it is a limited slip... I'm about to jack the rear of the car up in a sec & do the tire spin thing to see whats going on. I really want to pull the cover off but I really dont know what to look for. Any pics will help or numbers to look for when I get it off. A friend told me I should change the gear oil too & see what happens after that.
Another thing... I was about to race a friend a couple weeks ago & I was at a standstill burning some rubber when both wheels locked up & the car got really sideways. I have been playing with the car a lot lately & haven't got both wheels to spin since the race until yesterday when I took the pics.
Jack it up (one wheel) and put it in neutral. If you can turn the wheel (will be some resistance), then it's a limited slip. If it just stays locked, then it's a peg leg.

No prob. Also, I've seen open end rears do the same thing you mentioned. Because on the second attempt the right tire is heated up and grabs better, causing the left one to spin (sometimes) too.
I'm not gonna change that thing. I'm in the process of switching everything over to my other cutlass & I just wanted to know if it was a posi so I can keep it to put in the other one. Whatever it is, it seems like it's messed up so i'm not going to worry about it.

I jacked up the passenger side & the wheel would turn easy with no resistance. I let the Pass. side down & jacked the drivers side up & I got the same thing. This is what i got when I jacked both wheels off the ground. When I spin the pass side tire the driveshaft would move & the drivers side tire would not move
When I went around to the drivers side & turned the wheel the pass. side wheel would move in the opposite direction but the drive shaft would not move most of but then it would barely move sometime. Is that normal? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p6fNgD0qXN8
