I think that vacuum line may hove something to do with the valve that allows hot coolant to run through the heater core... Try disconnecting it, plug off the vacuum source and check what is no longer functioning correctly.

i was never questioning what the vaccum does, just if it was connected to the proper location, but ya thanks i do believe as well it has to do with my heater because it works better now that i fixed a leak on the line.

im trying to find out what those two other empty wire harness connectors go to....i doono perhaps they only used for other engines? as in GM used the same wiring harness' for all of their vechicles? nothing is in reach for them to plug into... could all 3 be diagnostics...? no way right?

yea my v6 has that it goes onto a plate on the throttle body its has somthing to with heat under the carb or somthing, maybe some one took it off?

is the bigger harness connector a 4-wire? look to see if theres one coming from your distributor thats not hooked to anything. looks like it could be for your electronic advance. if its not hooked up, it will definately turn on your CEL. that green plug next to it is also hooked to nothing on my cutlass so i wouldnt worry about it.
