i replaced the battery an checked all fuses. when i turn the key you can hear the fuel pump but no ligths on dash car wont crank its like i need a new battery but i just purchased one an tested the battery to make sure it wasnt bad. what else could be the problem i need help asap

obviously it`s either the starter or at least the solenoid on it ....

providing that all your wires are in good condition ( clean & tight)

not lights could be a fusible link on the wire going to the starter...did the car start before you replaced the battery?

i just replaced the starter. when u turn the key on the gauge for the volts are at 8 it never goes above that point i dont know what happen this problem just started

1 day i went to start thecar an it didnt start so i thought i needed a new battery so thats why i bought the new battery. where is the fusible link located??

if your voltmeter reads over 12 V when switch on and goes down to 8 V when trying to start and wont ,
the starter is defective ......

be sure that your wires are clean and tight on solenoid......and check ground wire also

Have you had the car started since the starter was replaced :?: Could just be crossed wires on the starter
