Hey guys, FNG here and just got my first G body project. Is the 4.3 EFI setup now with column shift. Considering doing console conversion as I am doing a LS swap into it. I am a bigger guy and seats are tight. Any options for seat swaps that give you some more room? Has bench now. Thanks guys!

I made these brackets for my Regal project to install my new 60/40 seats to give myself some extra leg room and might help for what you want to do.
I used 1/4" steel plate and welded in 3/8" grade 8 bolts for seat mounting and bolted these to the original seat mount studs, the plates could be made longer if needed and mine move the seat back 2".

I am not 100% certain but I believe that factory bench cars only have two the outer seat mounts on each side with the bucket and 60/40 seat cars having four mounts per side so if this is the case your only option might end up being relocating the seat farther back until you can pull the carpet and weld in additional mounts.

Glad I read this thread. I want to upgrade to buckets and never even noticed that my car only has 2 mounts per side, but you're right. And now that I have the carpet out its a good time to do it!

Thanks for verifying that since I have never owned one that came with a factory bench or buckets.
And now that I think about of the 15 plus Gbodies I have owned every single one came with 60/40 seats.
