If slowly revved theres no bog or backfire. Starts up fine, idles good, full tune up, choke works, replaced bad vacuum break. Even tried a carb from a running motor. Still no change. The car idles perfect. If revved hard off wot it will back fire through the carb. Driving the car normal it has a tip in stumble. Timing is rock solid 15*. Could this be an egg problem? I've disconnected the vacuum hose and capped off with no change. Only thing I haven't changed is the 02 sensor. No ses lights.

When I pulled the cap and rotor there was some light corrosion inside. I cleaned it out with air, put a coat of fresh grease on the module and new cap and rotor. Sometimes it runs OK and other times it acts up like in the description. Doesn't matter if hot or cold.

Have you inspected the accelerator pump/diaphram and fuel filter? If not I would check those things along with wires, plugs, etc,,,

+1. I know you said you checked these but carb backfires are usually from running lean. Lean happens a lot when the accelerator pump isnt squirting enough gas. Especially when you ease into it and there are no problems.

The carb I have come from a running and driving car. The other carb I had on originally I suspected bad accelerator pump so I changed it out. Still the same. Got just over 5 psi of fuel and doesn't drop when revved. No rusty lines or leaks. Plugs look OK for most part.
