Other V8 Regals from the G-body era will either have a Olds 307 or a Chevy 305. Neither of which you want.

Get your hands on a Buick 350. They were produced from 1968-1980.

Direct swap meaning it will drop right in on the 3.8 V6 mounts, and all the accessories from the front of the V6 will bolt right up. This saves you considerable cost over putting an Olds or Chevy in it, which would require you to change mounts and swap all of the bracketry to make it work.

Thanks for the good comments yeah i do want to change motor to a v8 305 or 307. i'm going to get it repainted the same color.
nice regal man cant wait to see with some paint.but dont get a 307 thats what i have in mine wish i had a 350 if your going to change it go with the 350 or 455 😀 but nice car!!btw does the a/c still work
 
Seein that interior makes me miss my Regal, mine was the same color, my first car...

Thanks yes the ac is blowing cold the did the r34 swap to the system..Thanks all you guys for giving me great advice I thing i'm going with that 350.. But there hard to come by these days. it's hard trying to find used parts now..
