Usually, if theres a shake on the front wheel, you will feel it in the steering wheel too....and if its in the rear, you will feel it in the seat of your pants....oldspwr said:Here's an update... Tonight I jacked the front end up and checked the ball joint, tie rods, idle arm, etc and everything appears to be tight. I also looked at the a arm bushings and they appear to be tight as well. So I decided to replace the pass front wheel with one from my 79 Cutlass, a Weld Pro Star. Took it for a ride and it still has a shake. Then I decided to try replacing the rear pass tire. When I removed the wheel, I noticed the wheel was wet with oil. Turns out the wheel seal is leaking. So I removed the rear cover, drained the fluid and pulled the axles. Both rear wheel bearings appear to be loose with some up and down play ( as well as in and out from the C clips). So tomorrow I'll pick up some new Timken bearings and seals. Maybe my front wheel shake is coming from the rear?
I'll keep you posted...
