Walked in the door today and my son begged to take a ride in the blue car. Brakes seem to be coming around. Still think I’ll have to put rotors on. Maybe I’ll order some new parts for the Malibu and finally install the blazer setup.

Got the radio installed, console back in, tach operational, and dash bezel installed. Next step is windshield and tailpipes.

Really need to put tires on the car, but I’m not crazy about the wheels I have. I came across a set of wheels on marketplace. I picked them up but unfortunately I think the tires are too big, but I like the look. 17” tires are easier to come by than 16” anyway.
That thought about 17's is not a bad idea at all. Me, here, wondering how a taller tire would affect the back clearances in the fender wells, as well as the lock to lock in the steering.

You can run a 17” rim and still keep pretty close to the same size tire you have on your 15” rim. Your sidewall will be less and your aspect ratio will be different but the overall tire can be the same height and width.
That’s what I’m thinking. These came off a 77 Cutlass, much bigger wheel wells.
Wheels mounted on the car. Definitely need to change the tires, the front rub on turns as it is. Once I lower the car, it’s over. But these tires aren’t in bad shape, which is my current concern.
