looks awesome!! bet it feels good to have it repainted.

Yes it does but its gonna feel better than that to drive it. I have never driven the car except for two short no license plates test drives early in the AM.

Well I drove it for the first time today with everything finished. WOW! It drives great and seems to have abundant power. Still breaking in the new engine but it is peppy. Going to go get inspection, insurance and license plates next week. Thanks for all of the help guys. I still have one small problem. the AC is all coming out of the defroster, I have to nail that down.

Thats a beautiful GP. Your location caught my attention too. I work in Washington so maybe I can catch you around town sometime. Those plastic vaccum lines under the hood crack and you lose all vac to the mode switch inside. My Malibu does the same thing from time to time.

I repaired a small crack in the vacuum ball and replaced the lined and fixed the problem. I also found out that you can buy just the vacuum valve that goes in the control from Oreilly. I may change that when I get bored over the winter. Great to see local on the forum.

Looks good, I'm still working on getting my car to that point, but it's at a standstill at the moment. Is that the original vinyl top? Always liked Grand Prixs especially with Rally II's and a nice trim/color combo. There's an '85 down the road that's been for sale for many years that I was tempted to get but it wouldn't make sense to do so (yet  ).

Nice Car! My old Diesel is about finished with all I am gonna do. Just had to have the starter rebuilt because I could not find one anywhere. Darn thing prolly weighed in at 200 lbs. Heaviest biggest starter I have ever seen on a car. Got just a little more cosmetics to do. I am in Greenville not too far from you. I want to find a 1987 brougham in excellent condition with the v-8.

No I had to replace the top. It was discolored from the sun. It had sit in a driveway for six years or so when I bought it.

You are close by. I actually bought it in Greenville. A lady had passed and her family had the car. I was off of fire Tower Road. Found in the bargain trader. The price just kept going down until I could not pass it up. It had sit three so long I went to google maps street view and found the car sitting in the driveway. I still have the original 26,000 mile engine and transmission but am getting ready to scrap them. You can not give away a 3.8 or 200C.
