Does your battery have enough juice? Maybe get it checked?
If your starter is going or gone you can try to give it a couple of whacks with a hammer. Don't go crazy. Just enough to try and loosen the contacts.

Check the battery cables - do you have a solid ground, not crusty? If all is well, can you reach down and rotate the engine by twisting the crank pulley? Starters die, too.

Didn't try twisting the crank pulley, we were stuck in the rain. Will try tomorrow!
Do you have about 12.6 volts on the battery terminals? If less, the battery is discharged. Also, if it has removable vent covers, check the water level. If the tops of the lead plates get to air, that kills a battery off pretty quick. If a discharged battery gets cold enough that the water and acid start to separate, that's also death.
We didn't have our multimeter, but assumed it's either a bad battery or starter, or even worse... both! Will know tomorrow
Just making sure the engine didn't seize...focus on the more likely things first.
