More Questions:
Should pressing the trunk release allow the lid to swing open or just unlatch? I hit the switch on mine and it opens completely. -torsion springs too strong?
Where does GM hide the computer?

My trunk lid used to pop all the way open when I got my car (with no spoiler) but adding my large rear spoiler added enough weight so now it just pops up.
The computer is in the passenger side kick panel there should be a couple screws on the outer cover to access it.

When I use the trunk release, the trunk just pops, it doesn't open all the way. As 565bbchevy has said, the ECM is behind the passenger side kick panel.
