Do you have the manual that came with the unit? It will tell you what goes with each color on the aftermarket harness. To answer your previous question. I picked up mount kit from wally world for 15. But any major stores with an auto section should have them.

i don't have an aftermarket harness, i have the harness that cliped to the stock deck that i just snipped the clips off of and hardwired, crimped & taped, okay, so im looking at the wires i have left here as im typing and it appears that i have 1 orange, 1 grey,& 1 brown, and my blue wire i have left is going to be the power antenna control(500mA MAX.) where would i end up wireing that one into?

Tape up the extra wires and move on. I think you'll find that the original info I gave you is correct. Did you get a test light yet? They're like $2 at the parts store. Also, you're memory is not working because the constant (Orange on the car side) and ignition (yellow on the car side) are reversed. The grey and the brown (car side) should both be dimmer functions. If you had a test light, you could test them and find that out. Did I mention you should get a test light?

Here's what each of your factory wires correspond to:

Constant 12V+ Orange
Switched 12V+ Yellow
Ground Black
Illumination Gray
Dimmer Brown
Antenna Trigger Pink
Left Front (+) Tan
Left Front (-) Gray
Right Front (+) Light Green
Right Front (-) Dark Green
Left Rear (+) Brown
Left Rear (-) Yellow
Right Rear (+) Dark Blue
Right Rear (-) Light Blue

You should have a manual that will tell you which wires from the aftermarket stereo are which so you can hook them up accordingly. The issue you have with the memory may have to do with the wiring job your doing. Don't crimp and tape use some butt connectors. They aren't very expensive and provide a better connection.

i don't see a pink wire just 2 oranges a grey anda brown though, i may be wrong on one of the oranges

hey guys, got it in, but it won't save presets and it seems like when i turn the key off it resets completely, i checked power, ground, and acc got them all crimped instead of taped, but it still dosnt save anything, and also there was no pink wire for me to wire that power ant wire into anything, any other suggestions on the memory, and also the wire, it's blue off the back of the deck input would be great, i have 1 orange, 2 greys and i tried each while turning off and turning back on setting a preset then trying again, but nothing, after 2 hours i just stuffed it in and said f**k it

I gave you the answer to your memory problem in my last post. Get a test light and verify it already. Does your car have a power antenna? If not, don't worry about any pink wires.

i realise that you gave me an answer, but i unfortunatly don't have a test light, and it's like the car's 12 volt source is being completely cut off when i turn the ign off..what can i check without using a test light?

If the 12v wire is cutting off when you turn the car off, then that is the ignition wire. I would try switching the ign. wire (from the stereo) with constant that you have (from the stereo) and try that.

85CutlassSalonRyder answered that too; I said the same thing. It sounds like the memory and ignition on the radio is switched. Unfortunately, without a way to test it you will just keep going round and round. A test light can be had for about $2.00 at Walmart or the parts store. I don't know why you don't get one, it would make your life a whole lot easier. Also, I see someone posted all the wire colors on the previous page; those look correct to me.

Here's my post from page one:
