nice deal brutha............1987 salons were order oniy cars, very low production numbers. they made about 113,000 supreme/broughams that year, and only 9,221 salons. add the fact you got a T top car and you got a definate keeper. I have an 1985 salon, and my GM paperwork I got from them says only 198 1985 salons had t tops

here is the paperwork and pics

good luck

I think the 298 with t-tops (CC1) relates to out of the 1497 Canadian built models that had t-tops since the Cutlass Salon also includes 442's as well and I'm sure most were 442's that had them which makes your car a little more rare. 8)
However those numbers are only limited to the Canadian production.
My Canadian Export 87 442 is only one of 350 and GM Canada didn't provide me that same detail as to how many had t-tops but I do know out of the 4,208 W42's built 1,111 had t-tops in 1987 so to keep by the same ratio (26%) I'm assuming approximately 92 only had t-tops which is consistant with GM producing roughly 25-30% of Cutlass's with t-tops mainly being Salons or Calais and more focused on Supremes in 87. Supremes and Broughams throughout the years did get t-tops on occasion but they are less common, I have seen pillow topped bench seat cars with t-tops, my 88 CSC was one but the previous owner installed buckets.

Nice car, very clean for $800
Did the previous guy buy the car just for the header panel?

Nah, he wanted to sell it complete. I cannot stand the Euro fronts and he is a g-body guru who said he would knock off $400 if I took it less that. I said sounds good to me since I wanted to replace anyways
