I got the whole heater box setup from a Regal, and its eventually be in my cutlass. I just had a few questions.

-Is there a duct that goes to the far left side vents on the dash? There wasn't one for the regal and it didn't look like there was supposed to be one. Could I make the one thats on the a/c setup in my car now fit the heat setup?

-There it two vent controls that mounted directly under the steering column on the regal, in the cutlass there is a vent there (which is part of the duct that goes to the far left side vents. Where can I mount those vent controls? Theres a picture in my photo album showing what I'm talking about.

-Lastly, where can I get some replacement foam with adhesive on one side for the seams of the ducts?

There is no outlet next to the headlight switch on non a/c cars.
Take a look at the interior shots on my cardomain page of my 442 and Cutlass wagon.
It took me a long time to find the correct piece.

There is also a difference on the passenger side above the glove box. One of the two vents should be a dummy on non a/c cars, and there is a special piece to make the other work correctly.

For the vent controls, I removed the crotch vent (not part of non a/c set up), and then modified/jerry rigged the vent controls in place with two-part epoxy and plumbers tape. Sitting in the car, you'd never know.

The sticky backed foam should be available at any hardware store.

Since I got my setup out of a regal, my outlets above the glovebox won't work, unless I find some way to modify the ducting or find a non a.c. cutlass... Bummer

I have the trim piece from the regal where the vent controls mount, so I guess that will help with the mounting.

I've just been thinking its kind of wierd that none of my dash outlets will work except for the middle two, It just seems odd.

Yeah it is kind of a weird setup, Did you also pull the ductwork under the dash? It's a essential piece to the swap. I pulled out a complete set-up from 88 cutlass including the box, ducts, controls, dash trim which i sold already to Blake, and glove box. But seeing as the Grand Prix dash vents are different i am still trying to figure out how the vents will operate..... :? any body ever see a GP with a Non a/c unit? I am pretty sure that the dash vents are different compared to the a/c ones.

Here is how I modified my original lower dash crotch vent to accept the Chevrolet style cables.
Each brand has a different piece for their particular dash, so unless you have the correct one for your car, you'll need to get creative.

Here's my crude but funtional set up made from two-part epoxy and plumbers tape. From a glance, you'd never know.

Here's what the correct Olds piece looks like.

Unfortunately, I have no experience with the Pontiac or Buick non a/c dash set ups, just the Chevy and Olds.
