Are the frame mounts for bop motors interchangeable. I am having a hard time finding some buick frame mounts but have access to some oldsmobile and pontiac mounts. Also what about headers? Are the heads the same design as far as big block.

Oh, boy.

The engine mounts ( the ones that bolt to the engine it's self) are different.

On Pontiacs they use clamshell mounts to the frame that are different from Chevy, I imagine B and O are also.

I figured a way to use poly clamshells (chevy) with Pontiacs and don't see how B or O would be any harder. They are acually pretty easy to modify.

The holes in the frame are already there (BOPC).

BOP are all completely seperate designs, so there is no header interchange.

Also, atleast as far as Pontiac is concerned, there is no such thing as a Big Block.

Dang I forgot about pontiac not having the big block. Do you mind telling me how to modify them? I guess you know this but when I took one of the buick mounts the chevy mount too tall.

The proprietary motors from each GM division are completely different, including the design and location of motor and frame mounts.

For a Buick, use the V6 frame mounts. For an Olds, use the 307 frame mounts. For a Pontiac use the 301 frame mounts.

Thanks for all the help guys. It helped but now I'm a little more confused. I have located some buick specifice frame mounts still in a buick for 10 bux. I dont know if the car came with a v6 or v8 but I did bring one of my motor mounts and it does line up. Will it work or stick with looking for a v6? Just dont want to waste my time taking the frame mounts out only to find when Im putting my motor and trans in that it wont work.
