Need more pics, but them are some fat tires on back.

Thanks. Will post some more up soon. Actually those are not as large as the ones going on. I have a set of 325 m/t dr's going on after the frame is notched.

Looks bad azz. Looks like you have about a 295/50 on her now. I plan to frame notch my 442 and to use 295/65/15 drag radials. Tell us about your setup and goals. My street stripers have more emphasis on street but they still have to have the go. Welcome aboard.

gnracer, I see its your first post welcome to you also. I love big blocks in gbods but what happen to the turbo Buick motor or did it not originally have one?

it had a turbo 6 in it. i sold the motor off and picked up a 496 big block .going spray 300 down it should be around 650 on motor 950 on spray trying for mid 9

Wow that is pretty serious. I bought my GN new been involved in the GSCA for years etc. 9.90s seem to be the limit of even a girdled stock block Buick V6.

we have some local v-6 running 9.40 on a stock block

Actually

Richie ran a 9.33@146 on stock block TSM

Now he is going for real power.

The turbo 6 is done at low 9's. Not enough motor.

I actually told gnracer about this place after I found it. We both are members of a local forum and are always wheeling and dealing on our g body cars for parts. He got the 87 T from me and I got the SS from his Dad. Nice how it worked out. Both of us are going fast this year.

I am staying sbc and he is running a bbc. The buick v6 was fun for us while it lasted but we were ready for something with more punch. My combo is coming over the next couple months. It currently has a built lt1 in it and I am not sure if I am staying with that or going with a Dart little M or world products sbc 454. I have been a turbo guy for the most part but have not counted out spray on the SS with the LT. Taking it to the dyno in a couple weeks for some DFI tuning and hoping to have the frame notched so I can put my drag lites on . Gnracer is getting the pro starts. I think the tires on the back are equivalent to a 295 now. I have 325/50/15 m/t drag radials mounted on a 5.5 bs 15x10 going on.

Not to many die hard racers here but a good place for parts cars etc. I should have said safe limit in a heavy steel & glass gbody. Just overall my opinion based on what I have seen. The TAPerformance block would deliver but it certainly is not the cheapest way to get there. My buddy that assembled my Cad motor has a 496 in a 66 Chevelle that ran a 9.62. Unfortunately he put it in the wall last fall and has trouble with his big block. He did not have time and money to fix both so it will be back this summer with his back up 383. He was the 2nd man engine builder for a large race shop here and says Rats are more fun than mice.
