A Pillar gauge pod sizes

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ This is true. I don't have a cowl hood, I just have a GN turbo hood, so I couldn't do that anyways, but that may apply to 83MONTESS. I haven't bought any gauges yet, but the two I was looking at are electrical, and I'm thinking I may just buy the console pod that GBP sells for it.

Thats why I wated to stick them in the center console like the first gen camaros had. I dont like the idea of blocking the cowl opening since my hood will be fully functional and I feel the 496 will need to breathe  The car is in storage right now so who knows what I will do. Im just trying to get ideas.

That would look sharp 8)

Not anything like what you guys are talking about, but I thought It could spark up some ideas. The gauges are electric, IIRC they were around $65 a piece from summit.

Not sure what the Monte console looks like but I had one of these in my Cutlass's console years ago:

But it still only took 2-1/16" gauges.

I mounted a couple of 2-5/8" gauges in my cowl opening (fuel pressure and vacuum). I had to make a panel to support the rear of the opening anyway so figured why not. The opening in the cowl is still plenty big to feed the engine in my opinion.

This is what I'm looking at doing right now. I have a Cutlass console in my Regal so this should work.
