A Pontiac, but not a g-body

Those cars handle well too, unlike the land yachts that preceded them. Buddy had a '79 LeSabre that he dropped a Buick 455 into. Quite the potent sleeper.

For those that don't already know, those B-body cars from '77-on were basically re-skinned '73-'77 A, A-Special and G- body frames, depending on the wheelbase, etc... Everything from a '96 Impala SS will pretty much bolt in/on that car. The wole suspension, rear and all can be used with proper offset wheels and tires.
I almost bought a '78 Bonneville with 400, 3.23 posi, buckets, console, 15x7 Rally wheels with 225/70 Goodyears, F-41 sport suspension with Pliacell shocks, etc... Then a Blue Trans Am snuck up on me....

Wow! That's good to know. I'm still chewing on trying to find another (had two already, years past) '80-'85 Delta 88 2-door. I had one with a big block when I was a teenager

I know a guy that has one just like that but blue. It has a 301 but its really clean. Hes been driving it for a long time. Idk if he the original owner, but he still drives it every day. He doesnt have a garage either, but I've never really seen it dirty. Its always clean and shiny. Hard to believe, they salt the hell outta the roads around here.

Funny that you mention that. I went with a buddy of mine to check out an '80 LeSabre coupe earlier this week and we go to pick it up Saturday. You remember that thread when I was asking about the '71 Buick 455....well I go to check that out on Sunday and then maybe something will be getting swapped  The guy hyped it up in the ad as such a great car and he doesn't even know if it runs! WTF!

That '80 LeSabre has a running 301 in it that I'll be grabbing for the hell of it. I'll either cannibalize it or possibly use it as a crutch til my 455 is finished. My buddy is going out on a limb because he was into imports. I think once he's had a taste of big block torque he won't go back

I'd actually like to get a hold of a '77-'80 Holiday 88 too. I think I've only seen 2 in person and the super rare '80 in a CL ad.

It was a nice car except for the transmission issues. For some reason that specific transmission had problems as it was a common occurrence. Other than that, damn fine car. I miss it.
