well myself and brother (navy) and my father (marine) say ooo-rah. so did one of my instructors-another marine. my army buddies all say hoo-yah.
actually it was pretty funny in boot when the former ranger said hoo-yah :doh: :shock:

Yeah,,,I agree! 🙂 What was real funny,was the Navy boot who climbed the wrong fence and ended up in USMC camp for about a week before we gave him back! :lol:
 
nobody in the navy actually says hooyaa tho. the closest i ever heard was all of MY greenside corpsmen saying oo-rah!

A lot of guys like hoorah better, it make them feel more like a marine :?. But we had it drilled into us that any exclamation of that sort with an 'R' would result in pushing
