We drove it today. Straight headers in lincoln ne. People were rolling up their windows lol. I think we set of a car alarm or two..

So, i have another issue. I have the 200r4 trans and i am using a edelbrock thunder avs carb with holley intake. I do not know what to do about the throttle/tv cable bracket?

Based on this post it looks like you may have driven your car without the proper TV cable geometry 😱😱 . Driving without the TV cable hooked up properly will glaze / destroy the clutches in a 2004R because of low line pressure in the trans. Just a heads up....the only way to correct this is to replace the clutch material. Hopefully you didn't stand on it and cause it to slip.

Nice Job. Great write up. Im curious about the accessory brackets you bought,. Do you have any pics of them installed?

Sorry I haven't got back to you guys. The motor mounts worked well, and the bracket from lsbracket.com.

I did end up using the bowtieoverdrives trans bracket. If you guys want any pictures just let me know.

Sweet, so let me get this straight, becasue I'm about to take on the job. So you have the truck style water pump, that bracket truck stylecrank pulley. and it fits under the hood no prob.
1) Where did you get that bracket and
2) what power steering pump are you using?
3) What size carb are you using. Ive heard the LS motors need a bigger carb for a similar set up on a small block chevy. I called texas speed and priced out one of there cams but they couldnt tell me what carb I should use. There more EFI guys I guess.
Thanks

Dynosport, 1. I bought the bracket off lsbracket.com
2. The nice thing about this bracket it that you can use the stock power steering pump.
3. I am using a Holley 750 double pumper. After reading about the 5.3's on the dyno I decided to go with the 750, because they picked up more more power with the 750 over the 650.

Yes so its true then, because a SBC runs better with a 650.
So your using the pump that cam on the truck motor. Not the original one to the car.
Awsome set up. Have you been able to drive it yet?

Im hoping mine can come out as clean as yours is. My issue is I was going to take my time to do it but I may have to get on it because my SBC isnt doing so well and once I figure it out if its going to take a certain amount to effort I wont bother Ill just start my swap and try to get the running so I can enjoy it.
