ACC Carpet, arrived with an issue.

Wanted to loop back on this. Rockauto got a replacement sent very quickly from ACC. I got it today and opened it up after I got off work. Layed it out and it looks a 100% better. No weird creases, no bald spots. To me...and I am no expert, looks like this is a more fresh production vs one that was in a box for months. Laying out now to air out and relax. Will be going in the Cutlass at the end of the month, Lord willing.

Side note...they told me just to keep the last carpet they sent. Rockauto requested pictures of the issues and ultimately said NOT to return it. So I have a claret/oxblood carpet kit extra now with wear mark on the passenger floor board. Got a local guy with a Cutlass that is more of a street drag car. His interior is close to the color of mine. If it is the same carpet color, going to see if he wants it for free to freshen his drag car up. Don't get me wrong it's a dang nice car already! But if I can help another G-body enthusiasts...we are all winning.
That is nice of you.

How hard was it to deal with rock auto customer service? I have had issues getting through to them in the past.

Also did you go with essex or cutpile? Mass backing or none?

Rock Auto Customer service was super easy to deal with. Created the return, sent detailed pics and after a couple days was advised that a new carpet kit was en route. Never even had to talk yo a person..just used their website.

I went with cutpile as it was closest to OEM and mass backed as it has a nice rubber backing. Holds the form better in shipping and adds another layer of sound deadening and insulation. Am very happy with it overall all!
