ACCELL HEI distributor electrical issues

I have no voltage from the lead coming into the distributor. I should have 12v. I have removed the computer and am wondering if the computer had some means of supplying voltage to the wire that is now "dead." I am working with an 81 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme.

Any Ideas???

I just took the big red wire that had a plug going into the cap of my old HEI dizzy. I then plugged that bad boy into my hot side of my coil and wired up everything else accordingly. Just grab a volt meter and check every wire in that plug assembly until you get 12 volts. If all else fails start checking fuses...
