great videos 😀 i really think i hate you guys!!!!j/k 😀 how many rounds did you get at the bopc race? i can't wait to hook up my spray, i think my 60 ft is at the point i need to put some more power to it 😀 ... shotgun showed me were i needed a dedicated fuel pump just for the N2O.. math doesn't lie... you got to love the guys that can do the math before they put it together ...jesse

Ended up making 2 rounds, when you .300 light against a .003 it's hard to make that up. The guy that put me on the trailer is a real killer, it really sucks when you just give it away though.

How much spray are you planning on using? Tell me a little about your fuel sytem.

damn, those where out at bopc? i didnt see either of the first two!

my fuel system is a 16 gallon cell, with a 10an line to a fram filter.
a 3/8 line to a holley blue pump, and a 3/8 line to the factory line to the regulator thats set at 7 1/2 psi
the carb is a mighty demon 750 mechanical secondary up jetted one size

shotgun sold me a used blue pump and fram filter set and some 10an lines to run the N2O only...my N2O is a dual plate system that can go to 250 with no problem
my plan  is to start at 75 off the line and hit 125 after i shift to 3rd gear to try and save the trans for a while

i built this motor to use N2O the cam is a comp nx268h nitrous cam and a set of beehive springs...what do you think?

I have seen some serious arguments regarding fuel systems, the math, if you can use it properly is the best way to calculate system needs. My theory is to throw more fuel than you should ever need and use good regulators to control its delivery.

My current set up is capable of supporting around a 200 shot in regards to fuel delivery available. It consists of a 10 gal. fuel cell, -8 to a blue pump, -8 from the pump to the engine bay (avoiding any tight turns or changes in direction when possible). Then it splits feeding two Holley 4.5 to 9psi regulators -8 in, -6 out to the carb and NOS fuel solenoids with a return on the fuel solenoid regulator to avoid dead head pressure.

Once I set the power levels (jetting) I can tweak (lean or richen) the mixture with regulator pressure providing I have a workable air fuel to start with. It's worked well for me so far though I'm sure there will be those that disagree.

Sounds like you have a good idea with the two pumps, as long as you don't short-cut things. I got to go for now so I'll try to get back to you tomorrow when I have more time.

To continue my previous post I have seen some folks add a 1 or 2 gallon fuel cell in the engine bay for the nitrous only. It will save you some money by shortening the run to your destination.

Some folks like to run a -10 to the pump and then -8 to the regulator and -6 to the solenoids whether it be from a cell in the rear or in the engine bay. Remember once you design and install your fuel system be sure to flow it and confirm that you have adequate pressure and volume.

Spray is a wonderful thing until you lean it out and torch a piston or two. Creep up on your tune up and contantly monitor your plugs for signs of detonation and missing ground straps. I would invest in a retard box that will pull timing out as you apply spray with your first and second stages.

This allows you to keep your timing optimized for daily driving and motor only passes. Then when you sqeeze it you wont have to go through the whole timing light adjustment thing, I love my MSD box. Good Luck...Happy Holidays....Peace

thanks for the advice, i'am sorta running out of budget for another cell and retard box, so to make sure that i don't hurt my engine i think i'll have to put off the nitrous till i can do it right....maybe before the end of spring

i've got a question about timing on the motor with out spray...i have a msd dist and a msd blaster coil and 6a box..i put the spring set in the dist,so the timing will be all in a 3000rpm... i don't have the vaccum connected... i just set the total at 36 and adjusted the carb to idle at 700 i never checked the timing at idle...the motor runs good on the street and when i race i just stall it to 2200 and have no bog do you think i might find a little more power by changing my set up on the timing?...jesse
