I didn't find the exact info I needed on this subject. Who knows how to properly add speakers to your car without causing all kinds of problems? I just got a set of concert sound 2 panels. I do not have the factory harness. What I want to do is get an after market stereo and add 2 more speakers using the factory concert sound grills/locations. Anyone?

My car had concert sound from the factory and I replaced all the speakers when I first had it. The factory set up had tweeters in the dash and 5.25 mids in the doors. I bought a set of infinity 5.25 components and put the tweets in the dash and the mids in the doors, I think the crossovers are behind the glovebox.

Hello Jg85350Regal. Do you have any pix or dimensions of how these speakers were installed? My car is bone stock. I got the panels and speaker brackets. I just need to know where to cut/drill. Any help will do Thank You.

Hey, actually my door panels are odd the car at the moment so when I get a chance I'll get out there and get some pictures and measurements. I actually had to replace one door and had to cut the opening for that door for the speaker and it was very easy, the plastic brackets aren't flat and iirc only really fit correctly in one location.

Thank you. As it turns out one of the brackets is an original the other seams like it was a replacement. Its has "LH" painted on it the other has all the factory markings on it like abs, right side, and all that plastic info. Still they should work fine. I still need to do some custom wiring and get all the equipment.

How were the tweets held in place? The dash speaker is 3 1/2" most tweets are only 1". Was there a tweet bracket? Thanks

The factory tweets were around 2" if I remember and they had there own brackets kinda built into them. I just made some simple sheetmetal brackets that screwed to the factory holes and the new tweeter had a stud on the back of it that I attahed to the bracket.

Factory things almost always make it difficult to put your own better this in. 😛 Thanks for the info.
