I have excessive mechanical advance in my HEI distributor and am wondering if there is supposed to be a bushing located on the pin that is in the limiter slot? I noticed mine does not have any and believe this may be part of the reason for my timing woes. I did rebush the advance weights when I originally installed this distributor years ago, but fear I may have overlooked these parts if they are supposed to be there. If they are needed and available, where is a good place to find them? Are they a common parts store thing, or are they harder to find? Thanks!
