Does anyone know the measure of aerodynamics for an 80s monte carlo ss? My roommate is telling me his durango has better aerodynamics than the SS. I think hes full of sh*t but dont know the specs. Any help is appreciated.

this is what I found online...

1985 Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS aerodynamics
Drag coefficient
Frontal area
Cx

Definition: A dimensionless measure of the aerodynamic sleekness of an object. A sleek car has a drag coefficient, or "Cd," of about 0.30; a square, flat plate is 1.98. Also signified by Cx.

and I found this for an 09 Durango... Drag coefficient of 0.422, compared with 0.463 for a comparable 2008 model.

No actual specs? I went to the top link and even though they have the categories, there are no numbers listed...

A Durango would be worse since it sits up higher and is taller than a Gbody which means more drag. Most modern SUVs have front air dams that almost to the ground to reduce drag, also reduces ground clearance a good bit.

Also, if you read on further he states that the o.410 drag coefficient was what GM tested with a stock car. Whether that is 100% accurate is anyone's guess, though.. Like was stated before, someone would have to take it to a wind tunnel for an accurate measurement.
