Aftermarket Cruise Control - Rostra

Has anyone replaced a factory cruise control with an aftermarket Rostra unit? I have an 83 HO and am missing the servo, servo bracket and rod. I would like to replace with the universal Rostra unit but have a few questions.

1. Does an 83 vin 9 have a VSS (vehicle speed sensor)
2. Will a 83 factory cruise lever work with these units? Also have 84 up stalk.
3. What factory wires will supply power, brake signal and neutral safety switch that are already being sent to factory unit.

I've used a bunch of the Rostra units, cruise, locks, etc... They work very well. I just don't know if the 83 had electric or mechanical speedo or if there was signal off speeo if it is manual for lookup, etc...

83 has mechanical speedo. I believe the speed sensor comes off the back. I can get a VSS that goes inline with the speedo cable and will work. Do you know if the factory cruise lever will work?
