Has anyone on here made a bracket or something and put their deck in their glove box?

I'm wanting to put the stock on back in for that stock look but still use my aftermarket deck and hide it in the glove box

just seeing if anyone has done this or not

I just started doing exactly what you said this week. I havent had the chance to post any pics yet because I don have any of my wires yet but, as soon as I get my wires, I'll give you an update.
P.S. as far as brackets go, I was just going to use some alum. bars that I had lying around. I was also thinking fo using an aftermarket adapter plate

and just mounting it in the glove box using some fabbed up brackets (thinking about putting "JB Weld in the equation at some time).

Google under dash mounting kits; IIRC they make a closed back and open version. Either should work well depending on how much space you have.

Take something like a Metra 99-9000 Universal mount kit, its probably around $10 or less. instead of mounting it with the opening at the top (for under dash type mounting), flip it around so that the open part is on the bottom of the glove box area. will be an enclosure of sorts... you can attatch it to the bottom of the box with small nuts and bolts... if it is longer than the floor of the glove box, then just cut the back of the box out neatly so that it fits around the back of the housing of the metra (or like) piece... i done this for friends many time, in many different types of boxes and aside from a one off custom fiberglas type piece, it looks pretty clean and is relatively painless...

hope this makes sense, if not ask and ill further explain
